Louise Serio is the owner of Derbydown, Inc. a training, boarding, showing and sales business in Kennett Square, PA. Louise began training out of Derbydown in 1975. She consistently trains and rides champions in every hunter division at the most prestigious shows on the East Coast, as well as traveling the country to judge at those top shows in which she is not competing. Louise coaches some of the top juniors in the country who have also reached and won National Championship under her tutelage.

Louise was instrumental in founding the American Hunter-Jumper Foundation. The AHJF is a non-profit, member-supported organization whose mission is to develop and promote the equestrian sport of show hunter-and-jumper competition. It does this through the Young Riders Education Program and other programs designed to meet the industry's needs. The AHJF is the proud presenter of the Legacy Cup and the World Championship Hunter Rider Awards.
